One dead, two injured in highway collision with horse in Turkey

A tragic accident on the Bingöl-Erzurum highway has claimed one life and left two others injured after a panelvan struck a horse. The collision occurred late at night in the Ilıcalar area when a horse unexpectedly entered the roadway.

The impact caused the three occupants of the panelvan to sustain injuries. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, providing initial medical assistance before transporting the injured individuals to Bingöl State Hospital via ambulance.

Despite receiving treatment at the hospital, one of the passengers, identified as Ahmet Kaya, succumbed to his injuries. The condition of the other two individuals is currently stable, and they continue to receive medical care.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the cause and prevent future occurrences. The incident highlights the dangers of unexpected obstacles on highways, particularly during nighttime travel.
