Ontario Woman Dies from Fire Injuries; Police Lead Investigation

A woman injured in a significant house fire in London, Ontario, has died from her injuries, prompting police to take over the investigation. The blaze occurred on Friday, July 17, at a residence located at 745 Dundas Street.

Members of the London Fire Department responded to the working structure fire around 9:45 a.m. Crews began searching the building after establishing ventilation. Paramedic services transported three individuals to the hospital with critical injuries following the incident.

On Monday, police confirmed that one of the victims, a 29-year-old woman from London, had succumbed to her injuries. The investigation into the cause and circumstances of the fire has now been reassigned to the major crime section of the police service.

The fire caused extensive damage to the property, with estimates placing the loss at approximately $500,000. The investigation by the police service is ongoing.
