Opposition Demands Answers on Nursing Home Concerns

Jon Reidar Øyan, the Labor Party's spokesperson for health policy in Oslo, stated in an email that the Conservative party's privatization of Uranienborghjemmet has been followed by 'warning after warning.' He expressed that nothing indicates the new health director understands the gravity of these issues, leading to the demand for him to be 'called to account' to reveal all relevant information.

The opposition has requested an extraordinary, urgent meeting of the City Council's Health and Social Affairs Committee on August 13. This move underscores their concern that the problems at the nursing home require immediate attention and a thorough explanation from the city's health leadership.
