Orlando Award goes to Frano Mašković, Roman Simović, Paolo Magelli, and Ivan Repušić

The 77th Dubrovnik Summer Games have honored exceptional artistic talent with the prestigious Orlando awards. Actor Frano Mašković and violinist Roman Simović were recognized for their outstanding drama and music performances, respectively.

Mašković received his award for his role as Skup in the play "Skup," directed by Paolo Magelli. "I am primarily a local patriot. This is a festival I adore and a city I love. That's why I am especially proud of this award. It is not just mine, but belongs to the entire creative team and ensemble," Mašković stated.

Simović earned his award for his performance with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Valentin Egel. The Grand Prix "Orlando" for significant contributions to the overall program was presented to acclaimed director Paolo Magelli and conductor Ivan Repušić.

The ceremony also paid tribute to the recently deceased Neven Frangeš, the festival's music director from 2004 to 2009, with a moment of silence.
