Ortiz acknowledges errors but praises team's effort in Colo Colo's win

Colo Colo's Argentine coach, Fernando Ortiz, acknowledged that errors nearly cost his team dearly in their 4-3 win against Everton at the Estadio Sausalito. "There were mistakes that cost us dearly again, but I'll take the team's effort. We're taking three very important points back to Santiago," he stated in a press conference.

Despite the victory, Ortiz recognized that not all individual performances met the team's usual standard. "They are human beings. We are not machines, nor are we perfect. The opponent studies us," he explained. "There are many factors that contribute to what happened. Some individual performances may not have been at the level we've been demonstrating, but the best thing is the character to want to win the match."

Ortiz also commended Everton's playing style, noting it had been some time since an opponent had "found a way" to challenge Colo Colo so effectively. He recalled a similar tactical approach from Recoleta in the Copa Chile, which his team managed to overcome.
