Osun 2026: APC Candidate Promises Violence-Free Election, Urges Voters to Protect PVCs

Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the upcoming August 15 Osun State governorship election, has pledged to ensure a peaceful and violence-free poll. Speaking at a rally in the Odo-Otin area, Oyebamiji urged citizens to disregard any rumors of unrest and assured them that no voter intimidation or harassment would be tolerated.

Oyebamiji issued a stern warning to potential troublemakers, stating that any individual caught harassing voters would face decisive action from security operatives. He expressed strong confidence in his victory, envisioning his win as the dawn of a new era of development for the state. The candidate also emphasized the importance of the Permanent Voter Card (PVC), calling it the voters' power and license to participate, and advised them to keep it safe and collect it promptly if recently registered.

Looking ahead, Oyebamiji promised that his administration would govern without discrimination, ensuring that all parts of the state receive attention. His manifesto, he stated, would address key sectors, with a particular focus on leveraging agriculture to boost the economy and provide essential infrastructure for farmers in rural areas to combat hunger. Health, education, and commerce were also highlighted as areas that would receive necessary focus under his leadership.
