Osun APC Senator Fadahunsi honours police invitation over 'kill Accord members' remark

Senator Francis Fadahunsi, representing Osun East Senatorial District, appeared before the Osun State Police Command on Wednesday following an invitation concerning a controversial statement he made about members of the Accord Party. The senator arrived at the police headquarters in Osogbo around 2 p.m.

The invitation stems from a widely circulated video where Fadahunsi reportedly encouraged All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters to "kill" Accord Party members if encountered during the electoral process. This remark has sparked reactions ahead of the August 15 governorship election, amidst heightened political activities.

The police command summoned the senator to provide an explanation for his remarks and assist their investigation. This development occurs as security agencies ramp up preparations for the election, urging political parties and supporters to refrain from inflammatory statements and violence.
