Osun election: APC candidate dismisses 'federal might' claims, vows to fight poverty

Bola Oyebamiji, the governorship candidate for Nigeria's All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has refuted allegations that the federal government intends to manipulate the upcoming August 15 election in his favor. Speaking at an Arise Television town hall, Oyebamiji asserted that his campaign has not encountered any evidence of "federal might" being deployed to influence the polls.

Oyebamiji presented his vision for the state, emphasizing a commitment to the welfare and development of all residents. His administration's priorities would include tackling poverty and hunger through significant investments in agriculture, education, and healthcare. He also stressed the importance of human capital development and enhancing the general welfare of the populace.

We want to banish hunger and poverty. I want to invest seriously on agriculture, education, and health.

Oyebamiji also claimed to have secured endorsements from approximately 42 groups across Osun State, signaling broad support for his candidacy.
