Osun election: Atiku, Aregbesola campaign for ADC candidate

Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and African Democratic Congress (ADC) National Secretary Rauf Aregbesola have arrived in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, to campaign for the party's governorship candidate, Najeem Salaam. The duo joined Salaam and other party stalwarts at a campaign rally, arriving around 3:30 p.m. amidst a convoy of supporters.

During the rally, Aregbesola addressed the gathered crowd, singing songs in Yoruba and urging supporters to dismiss any speculation about the ADC forming an alliance with other political parties for the upcoming election. He emphatically stated that the ADC is independently campaigning across the state and is confident in securing a victory on August 15.

"Don’t mind rumours that our party has entered into an alliance with another party for the Osun election on Saturday. We are not working with anyone. We have campaigned vigorously across the State, and we will win the governorship election," Aregbesola declared. As of the time of reporting, both Atiku Abubakar and Najeem Salaam had yet to address the attendees.
