Osun Election: Ex-PDP guber aspirant endorses Adeleke

A former governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, Nigeria, has thrown his support behind Governor Ademola Adeleke for the August 15, 2026 gubernatorial election. Adebayo Adedamola, widely known as Fryo, announced his endorsement alongside his supporters on Wednesday in Osogbo.

I have arrived at this decision based on my assessment of the political circumstances in our state and my conviction that, at this particular moment, this is the direction I am prepared to support.

Adedamola, who was previously nominated by a PDP faction and secured a significant number of votes in the party's primary, stated that his decision followed extensive consultations and a thorough assessment of the state's political landscape. He emphasized that his conviction led him to support Adeleke at this particular moment.
