Osun election proves Tinubu's commitment to democracy, says Okotie-Eboh

Emmanuel Okotie-Eboh, son of a former Finance Minister, has lauded President Bola Tinubu's dedication to democratic principles, pointing to the recent Osun State governorship election as a prime example. He described the election's conduct as a victory for Tinubu's belief in genuine democratic processes.

Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party secured victory in the election, defeating the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate. Okotie-Eboh stated that Tinubu's decision not to interfere in the electoral process demonstrated his commitment to neutrality and genuine democratic practice, a stance he has maintained since his activism with NADECO.

"This victory epitomizes the triumph of the will of the people of Osun as it vindicates President Tinubu’s avowed belief in neutrality in the political chess game," the statement read. Okotie-Eboh added that Tinubu has silenced his critics with the election's outcome, showcasing his administrative skill by allowing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) the independence to conduct a fair election.
