#OsunDecides2026: INEC uploads 87.48% of results

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has made significant progress in uploading results for the Osun State governorship election, with 87.48% of the expected votes now available on its Result Viewing platform (IReV). As of 8:48 p.m., 3,292 out of 3,763 results have been uploaded.

Preliminary figures compiled by PREMIUM TIMES on the Dataphyte election dashboard indicate that the incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party is in a commanding lead. He has secured 451,744 votes, representing 52.54% of the votes tallied. His main rival, Bola Oyebamiji from the All Progressives Congress (APC), is currently in second place with 382,689 votes, accounting for 44.51% of the total.

Governor Adeleke holds a lead of 69,055 votes over Mr. Oyebamiji based on the results reflected on the dashboard. Other candidates are trailing significantly. Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) is in third place with 14,806 votes (1.72%).

Fifteen political parties fielded candidates in this election. While Governor Adeleke of the Accord Party seeks another term, two candidates, Adesina Adeyemi-Doro of APGA and Simon Adewale of APM, had previously announced their withdrawal from the race and declared support for either the APC or Accord candidates. However, their parties' names remained on the ballot papers.
