Outstanding employer debt impacts 35,000 members

The Fiji National Provident Fund is stepping up efforts to recover $10.8 million in outstanding employer contributions, with unpaid debts dating back to 1995 and affecting more than 35,000 members.

At a press briefing, General Manager of Member Services Alipate Waqairawai said an amnesty campaign launched in May had helped recover hundreds of dollars. The fund is continuing its efforts to collect the remaining employer contribution debt.
