Over 5,000 Runners Participate in Jakarta's Almond Run 2026

More than 5,000 runners participated in the Almond Run 2026 held at the East Parking Plaza of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) in Jakarta, Indonesia. The event catered to a diverse range of participants, including novice runners, families, and running communities, offering both 5-kilometer and 10-kilometer race categories.

Beyond the races, the event organized by BrookFarm featured various activities for participants. These included a Fun and Fit 360° Booth with games and a virtual running simulation, an "Almond Jump" activity, Ring Toss, and an area offering different almond-based beverages. The event was further enlivened by performances from DJ Garry Ang and the music group RAN.

Organizers noted the increasing public focus on healthy lifestyles, which extends beyond sports to include nutritional awareness. A NielsenIQ report cited by Global State of Health & Wellness 2025 indicates that 65 percent of Indonesians prioritize healthy nutrition more now than five years ago.

Philip Chen, President Director of Diamond Food Indonesia, observed that the high number of participants reflects running's growing integration into the daily lives of Indonesians. He stated that such events serve as platforms for diverse communities to connect. Winners of the 5K and 10K races, Wiwin Dwi Rahmayanti and Alias Praji respectively, shared their positive experiences, emphasizing the event's engaging atmosphere and its role in promoting physical activity.
