Overwhelming Demand for Popular Majalengka Schools Ahead of Registration Deadline

As the registration period for the 2026/2027 academic year in Majalengka, Indonesia, approaches its June 8 closing, high schools are experiencing a surge in applicants, particularly at favored institutions. SMAN 2 Majalengka, known locally as Smandaka, exemplifies this trend, with over 800 prospective students registering for just 480 available spots.

Aan Usmairin, the head of the registration committee at SMAN 2 Majalengka, expressed satisfaction with the overwhelming interest. "Alhamdulillah, the number of applicants has reached more than 800 people today. Meanwhile, the available quota for this academic year is 480 students. This shows the very high enthusiasm of the community to join SMAN 2 Majalengka," he stated on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

The school plans to divide the 480 admitted students into 12 classes, maintaining a class size of 40 students to ensure effective learning. Admissions will be allocated through several pathways: 151 students via domicile, 130 through achievement, 129 via affirmation programs, 22 for children of parents with transfer orders, and 48 for students from buffer zones. Usmairin assured the public that the entire process is transparent and objective, adhering to the technical guidelines set by the West Java Provincial Government. He urged applicants and parents to rely only on official information and complete all necessary administrative requirements.
