Oyo congratulates TUC chairman on emergence as PENGASSAN president

The Oyo State Government has extended congratulations to Bosun Olabiyi-Agoro, the Chairman of the Trade Union Congress in the state, following his election as the President of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN). The Acting Governor, Bayo Lawal, conveyed his felicitations in a statement issued by the governor's media aide, Sulaimon Olarenwaju.

Governor Makinde is delighted that a leading Labour unionist in the state, who has worked with the administration towards instituting better welfare package for the workforce, has emerged as leader of a foremost trade union group like PENGASSAN.

Lawal described Olabiyi-Agoro's emergence as a positive development for PENGASSAN, expressing confidence that his extensive experience, exposure, and patriotism will be instrumental in advancing the association. He lauded Olabiyi-Agoro as a worthy ambassador for Oyo State, noting his consistent excellence and role as a pacesetter, aligning with the state's identity.

I have just been informed that the state chairman of TUC, Olabiyi-Agoro, has emerged as the President of PENGASSAN. This is another positive development and a testament to the excellence that our great state has been renowned for over the years.

The Acting Governor highlighted Governor Seyi Makinde's delight in the rise of a prominent labor unionist from the state who has collaborated with the administration on enhancing worker welfare. Lawal emphasized that Olabiyi-Agoro's commitment to unionism and workers' advancement has always been evident.
