OyoSUBEB denies involvement in common entrance exam leakage

The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB) has vehemently denied any role in the alleged leakage of results from the recent Common Entrance Examination. The Board's Executive Chairman, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, dismissed the allegations as false and damaging to the reputation of OYOSUBEB and its leadership.

For the avoidance of doubt, OYOSUBEB is not involved at any stage in the conduct, setting, production or handling of questions for the Common Entrance Examination.

In a statement released in Ibadan, OYOSUBEB clarified that it is not involved in any stage of the examination's conduct, question setting, production, or handling. Therefore, any attempt to link the Board, its chairman, or officials to the alleged leakage is entirely unfounded. The statement emphasized the administration's consistent commitment to transparency, accountability, and professionalism.

OYOSUBEB directed that any concerns regarding the examination's conduct, administration, or outcome should be addressed to the Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, the appropriate authority. The Board stressed that it has no involvement in the examination and will not allow unsubstantiated reports to tarnish its integrity.

The Board wishes to state unequivocally that the administration of Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran has consistently upheld transparency, accountability and professionalism in the discharge of its responsibilities.

While respecting the media's role, OYOSUBEB urged caution and fact-verification before airing allegations. The Board warned that any defamatory statements or smear campaigns against Dr. Adeniran would be met with strong legal action to protect his reputation and the Board's integrity. OYOSUBEB remains focused on its mandate to strengthen basic education in Oyo State.

The Board further wishes to clarify that any complaint, inquiry or concern relating to the conduct, administration or outcome of the just concluded Common Entrance Examination should be directed to the Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, which is the appropriate authority responsible for the examination.
