Pablo Lyle Did Not Seek Prison Release for Father's Funeral, Friend Clarifies

While actor Pablo Lyle serves a five-year sentence for involuntary manslaughter in the United States, his family has experienced another loss with the death of his father, Jorge Lyle. The elder Lyle passed away on Sunday, June 14, following complications from a domestic fall and subsequent surgery.

In the days leading up to his father's passing, rumors circulated that Pablo Lyle might be granted a special permit to leave prison temporarily to see his father one last time. However, television host Andrea Legarreta, a close friend of the Lyle family, has refuted these claims. She stated that neither Pablo Lyle nor his family requested such a permit, explaining that these types of permissions are rarely granted and are typically reserved for situations where a family member is incarcerated near the prison.

Legarreta also provided details about Jorge Lyle's health struggles. She explained that he had suffered a hip injury some time ago, which required surgery. At 77 years old, his health had significantly declined, and it was the complications from the surgery, rather than the initial fall, that ultimately proved fatal.
