Panama Ends High Temperature Alert, Expects Increased Rainfall

Panama's national warning for high temperatures concluded on Saturday evening, as meteorological authorities forecast a rise in rainfall over the coming days. This shift in weather patterns is expected to bring relief from the recent heatwave.

Rafael Morán, a meteorologist with Panama's Institute of Hydrology and Meteorology (IMHPA), stated that the upcoming precipitation will contribute to a decrease in the temperatures recorded in recent weeks. He anticipates that this will lead to more comfortable, cooler days across the country.

The nation is set to experience conditions characteristic of the rainy season once more. This change is attributed to the interaction of various atmospheric systems and the expected arrival of Tropical Wave No. 25. The wave is moving at a speed of 18 to 27 kilometers per hour and is forecast to enter Panama from the east within the next 48 hours.
