Panathinaikos BC AKTOR Signs Guard Brancou Badio to Three-Year Deal

Greek basketball club Panathinaikos BC AKTOR has secured the services of Senegalese guard Brancou Badio, announcing his signing on a three-year deal. The acquisition marks a significant move for the Athens-based team as they aim to strengthen their roster for upcoming competitions.

Badio, born in Rufisque, Senegal, on February 17, 1999, stands at 1.91 meters and plays as a guard. His journey in basketball began in his hometown before he moved to Spain to join the Canarias Basketball Academy. He later played for FC Barcelona's second team, where he showcased his scoring prowess with an average of 13.4 points per game in the LEB Plata league.

His career progression saw him move to Germany's Skyliners Frankfurt in 2021, averaging 10.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 3 assists. In May 2022, he returned to Spain, signing with Manresa. His most recent stint was with Valencia Basket, where he was a key player during the 2025-26 season, contributing 11.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game in the EuroLeague. He was also part of the Valencia team that won the Spanish Super Cup in 2025 and the Spanish League title in 2026.

Internationally, Badio is a vital member of the Senegalese national team, having helped them secure two bronze medals at the AfroBasket tournament. His performance in the 2025 AfroBasket was particularly impressive, averaging 19.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists, with a strong 43.5% three-point shooting percentage.
