Panathinaikos BC Files Complaint Against Olympiacos Officials Over Post-Game Conduct

Athens – Panathinaikos BC issued a strong statement on Saturday afternoon, shortly after Game 2 of the Stoiximan Greek Basketball League finals against Olympiacos. The club publicly addressed events following the match, directing sharp criticism at Olympiacos' general manager, Nikos Lepeniotis, and head coach, Giorgos Bartzokas.

The "Greens" detailed their grievances in a press release, stating they have filed a complaint with the Hellenic Basketball Federation's Disciplinary Board (ESAKE). Panathinaikos accused Lepeniotis, described as "already disqualified and convicted," of making slanderous claims, targeting journalists, and generally defaming the sport.

Furthermore, the statement targeted Olympiacos coach Bartzokas, labeling him a "habitual offender." Panathinaikos alleged that Bartzokas "intoxicatedly" insults fans, abuses a "model" club official, enters the court to provoke referees without being recorded, and gestures towards the stands.
