Paraguarí AC changes coach for second time this season

Paraguarí AC, competing in Paraguay's División Intermedia, has once again changed its technical leadership, marking the second managerial switch of the season. The club, known as 'El Toro,' is navigating a challenging debut in the second division, with the current tournament featuring 30 rounds.

The instability at Paraguarí AC stems from poor results and internal disputes among the club's management. The season began under the guidance of former World Cup player Enrique 'Rambert' Vera, who was dismissed due to the team's initial struggles. Following a brief interim period led by Luis Villasanti, Robert Pereira Molina was appointed.

Pereira Molina's tenure was short-lived. He took charge on May 11 and secured a victory in his first match, a derby against Carapeguá. However, the team's subsequent performance in the following two games resulted in losses against Guaireña and Benjamín Aceval, leading to his departure after just three matches.

The club has now turned to Luis Fernando Escobar, a familiar figure who previously led Regional Paraguarí to the title in the Nacional Interligas of the Unión del Fútbol del Interior (UFI). This victory secured the team's promotion to the División Intermedia, the second tier of Paraguayan football overseen by the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol (APF).

Escobar's return is anticipated to bring stability, though his re-debut is scheduled for Saturday against General Caballero. The appointment comes amid reported divisions within the Paraguarí league management regarding the club's direction.
