Paraguay Forecast: Cold and Storms Expected This Long Weekend

Paraguay is bracing for a cold and stormy long weekend, with temperatures expected to drop significantly.

From Saturday through the public holiday on Monday, minimum temperatures will hover below 10 degrees Celsius in many areas. While Saturday and Sunday are forecast to be stable across most of the nation, the weather will turn with rain and thunderstorms predicted for Monday across much of the country, including the capital, Asunción.

On Saturday, the Directorate of Meteorology and Hydrology anticipates a cold to cool day with partly cloudy skies and variable winds. Following Friday's rain and storms, Saturday and Sunday may still see scattered showers in the northern and eastern parts of the country. However, Monday is set to bring precipitation and electrical storms to most regions.

In Asunción, Saturday's temperatures are expected to range from a low of 8 degrees Celsius before dawn to a high of 17 degrees. Similar conditions are forecast for Sunday, with highs reaching 21 degrees and lows around 8, while Monday's forecast for the capital shows highs of 17 degrees and lows of 11.
