Paraguay's U23 3x3 basketball teams excel in FIBA Nations League

Paraguay's national U23 3x3 basketball teams, both male and female, are showcasing strong performances in the FIBA Nations League "Asunción 2026." The tournament, which includes five national teams from the Americas, is being held in Paraguay and concludes this Sunday.

Across the three completed tournament "stops" so far, both the Paraguayan women's and men's teams have demonstrated considerable skill, reaching the finals in each of those stages. The women's team secured second place in Stop 1 on July 20, while the men's team also finished as runners-up in Stop 3 on July 22.

The league consists of six short tournaments, or "stops," spread over six days. Victories in each stop contribute points to the final rankings, which serve as a qualifier for the FIBA 3x3 World Cup.

The competition continues with the final three stops from Friday, July 24, to Sunday, July 26. Teams are divided into groups, with the top teams from each group advancing to the daily finals. Paraguay is scheduled to face Chile and Brazil in upcoming matches.
