Paraguayan pairs to contest Asunción M15 ITF doubles final

Paraguayan tennis players Álvaro Ariel Frutos Alonso and Alex Santino Núñez Vera have reached the doubles final of the M15 ITF World Tennis Circuit tournament held in Asunción. They will face the Argentine-Paraguayan team of Santiago Giamichelle and Martín Vergara Del Puerto in the championship match.

This marks the second consecutive M15 tournament at the Asunción Tennis Club. In the semifinals, Frutos Alonso and Núñez Vera defeated the second-seeded Argentine pair Tomás Martínez and Ezequiel Monferrer in a three-set match (6-2, 2-6, 10-5). Meanwhile, Giamichelle and Vergara Del Puerto advanced by beating Paraguay's Alexander Báez and Hady Hammod (2-6, 3-6).

Last week, Giamichelle and Vergara Del Puerto also reached the final of the previous M15 tournament but lost to Joaquín Aguilar of Uruguay and Santiago de la Fuente of Argentina. In the singles competition of the current tournament, all Paraguayan participants were eliminated by the quarterfinals. The singles semifinals will be contested by Gonzalo Villanueva (ARG) against Dakotah Bobo (USA), and Maxwell Exsted (USA) versus Joaquín Aguilar Cardozo (URU).
