Paraguayan Social Science Journal Joins Prestigious SciELO Database

The scientific journal "Kera Yvoty," published by the Faculty of Social Sciences at the National University of Asunción (Facso-UNA), has achieved a significant academic milestone by being accepted into the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO). This inclusion marks a crucial step in providing international visibility for Paraguayan scientific and social science research.

SciELO is one of the most important scientific documentation networks in Latin America and the Caribbean. By joining this platform, Paraguayan research published within the country will become far more accessible to the global academic community, encouraging wider consultation and citation in regional studies.

"Kera Yvoty," which translates to "Utopia" in the Guaraní language, has been published uninterruptedly since 2016. It serves as a technical-scientific space dedicated to analyzing and reflecting on the diverse manifestations of social issues in modern and contemporary Paraguay. The journal covers key disciplines such as social policies, social change, social theory, political science, sociology, anthropology, and social work.

This integration into SciELO complements the journal's existing robust ecosystem of indexations, which includes ERIH Plus, DOAJ, Dialnet, Latindex Catalog 2, and AmeliCA, as well as presence in global search engines like Google Scholar and WorldCat. Facso-UNA highlighted that this achievement validates the rigor and sustained editorial strengthening efforts undertaken by the institution. Access to all journal content is free, and there are no costs for authors submitting or publishing manuscripts.
