Parent Allows Child to Play in Restricted Tainan Station Platform Area; Police to Fine

Railway police are investigating an incident where a parent allowed a child to run and play in a restricted area of platform two at Tainan Railway Station. The child was seen running back and forth in the "No Entry" zone and sitting by the platform edge, while the parent watched.

The footage, shared on social media, prompted an investigation by the railway police. Authorities have reviewed surveillance footage to identify the individuals involved. They will notify the parties concerned to provide statements before proceeding with legal action.

According to the Railway Police Bureau's Tainan branch, the incident occurred around 9:57 AM on August 10th. The child entered the prohibited area, running and sitting on the platform edge. The police have identified the individuals and will proceed with a penalty under the Railway Act, forwarding the case to the Railway Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation for a fine.

The police are urging passengers to refrain from entering tracks or restricted areas to prevent legal violations, ensure personal safety, and maintain the safety of train operations.
