Paris Olympics' 'Golden Trio' Aim for Asian Games Gold

South Korean shooter Ban Hyo-jin, already a national hero after becoming the youngest ever gold medalist at the Paris Olympics, is now setting her sights on the Asian Games. At just 19 years old, Ban clinched the women's 10m air rifle title at the Paris Games, setting a new record as the youngest South Korean to win gold at a Summer Olympics. Her victory also marked the 100th gold medal for South Korea in the Summer Olympics.

Ban's impressive performance extends beyond the Olympics. She also dominated the ISSF World Championships last November in the same discipline. Having successfully navigated the national team selection trials in April, she has earned her spot in her first Asian Games.

"I believe the Asian Games are a stage as challenging as the World Championships or the Olympics, so I am preparing my best."

Ban's journey into shooting began around three years ago, inspired by a friend when she was in her second year of middle school. Her rapid ascent to the top of the sport highlights her dedication and talent as she prepares to compete on another major international stage.
