Former President Park Geun-hye made a campaign appearance in Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province, to support a People Power Party mayoral candidate, as the party faces unexpected challenges in the region. Park visited Jinju Central Market, shaking hands with hundreds of merchants and appearing alongside Han Kyung-ho and Gyeongnam Province Governor Park Wan-soo. Supporters greeted her with cheers and bouquets, chanting "President Park Geun-hye."

Recent polls show Cho leading, followed by the Democratic Party candidate, with Han Kyung-ho in third place.
