Asunción's beloved Parque Caballero is set to mark its 100th anniversary with a comprehensive program of public events. Organized by the Association of Friends of Parque Caballero, the initiative aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the park's historical significance, its heritage value, and the challenges it faces.

The centenary celebrations will feature a series of free talks and guided tours designed to engage citizens and specialists alike. These events will explore the park's origins, its importance to the capital city, and potential strategies for its preservation and development over the next century. Further events include guided tours where technical teams from the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) and Tecnoedil will present proposed works for the park under the Urban Resilience project. The cycle will also host discussions on the park's current value and future design perspectives, emphasizing the need for conservation and recovery for future generations. The initiative is supported by prominent entities including Fundación Itaú, MOPC, the Municipality of Asunción, the World Bank, and Tecnoedil.
