Part of Bishkek to face cold water outage on June 30

Residents of Bishkek are advised of a significant disruption to their water supply on Sunday, June 30. The Bishkek City Hall announced that the cold water supply will be completely stopped from 9 a.m. until midnight.

The interruption will impact a wide range of facilities, including residential buildings, schools, preschools, and healthcare institutions. Several key streets will be affected, including Ibraimov Street, Chui Avenue, Torokul Aitmatov Street, Zhibek Zholu Avenue, Osmonkul Street, Frunze Street, and Suyumbaev Street.

The reason for this widespread outage is the necessary replacement of a valve located on Osmonkul and Ogonbaev Streets. Bishkekvodokanal, the city's water utility, has issued an apology for the inconvenience caused by this essential maintenance work.

The utility is urging businesses and residents to prepare for the shutdown by stocking up on drinking water in advance to mitigate the impact of the 15-hour water stoppage.
