Pas Johor denies president issued directive against Pakatan Harapan

Pas Johor has officially denied a circulating pamphlet that falsely attributes a directive to party president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang. The pamphlet urged Pas members to reject Pakatan Harapan (PH) and support Barisan Nasional (BN) in the Johor state election, ostensibly for the "unity of the ummah."

Mohd Firdaus Jaffar, head of Pas Johor's Information, clarified that the pamphlet does not represent an official statement, directive, or decree from the party president. He emphasized that it was neither issued by Pas Central nor Pas Johor.

Pas Johor views the dissemination of materials using the party's name and leadership's image without authorization seriously, as it can mislead members, supporters, and the general public about the party's official stance. The party advises all members and the public to refrain from spreading the false pamphlet and to refer to Pas's official channels for accurate information. Pas Johor also urged for mature, ethical, and responsible politicking, warning that the spread of fake information pollutes the democratic process and creates confusion.
