Pas Johor wants PN-BN cooperation to continue in Melaka polls

Pas Johor is advocating for the continuation of the political alliance between Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Barisan Nasional (BN), a partnership initiated during the recent Johor and Negeri Sembilan state elections. The party's Johor commissioner, Datuk Dr. Mahfodz Mohamed, emphasized the importance of this cooperation for establishing a government that serves the interests of the multi-ethnic society in the state and the country.

Mohamed stated that the collaboration should extend to the next general election, aiming to form a new federal government. He specifically highlighted the need for cooperation among Malay and Islamic political parties to ensure governance is returned to the majority community, drawing parallels with the situation in Negeri Sembilan. The aspiration is for a government formed through this alliance to rule with fairness and integrity, upholding principles of promoting good, forbidding evil, zero corruption, and zero abuse of power.

Furthermore, Pas Johor has pledged its support by preparing to deploy its campaign machinery for the Melaka state election. Mohamed indicated that the party would send as many personnel as needed to aid the campaign, noting that each state typically assists in constituencies contested by Pas candidates. This commitment underscores Pas's dedication to strengthening the PN-BN partnership in the upcoming electoral contest.
