PDI Perjuangan's Legal Body Invites Young Lawyers to Debate Ideas on 'Indonesia Menggugat'

The central board of PDI Perjuangan's Legal Aid and Advocacy Body (BBHAR) has launched a national essay competition themed "The Relevance of Indonesia Menggugat." This initiative, part of the commemoration of Bung Karno Month, targets law students and graduates across Indonesia.

Dr. Wayan Sudirta, head of BBHAR, explained that the competition seeks to revive the spirit of Bung Karno's thoughts and struggles among young legal professionals. Participants are encouraged to analyze the "Indonesia Menggugat" speech, recognizing it as a pivotal intellectual work in Indonesia's history and reflecting on its contemporary significance for legal, democratic, and social justice challenges.

Sudirta emphasized that the speech's intellectual courage, pro-people stance, and resistance to injustice remain vital for Indonesia and are relevant to the current global geopolitical landscape.

The essay competition aims to create a platform for young legal minds to contribute critical, progressive, and solution-oriented ideas for Indonesia's future. BBHAR is offering three full scholarships for advocate professional education and the opportunity to participate in the advocate induction process as prizes, underscoring the party's commitment to nurturing professional and people-centric legal cadres.
