Pedro Fernández Considers Reviving Vinyl Records in Mexico

Mexican artist Pedro Fernández is contemplating a return to the vinyl record format, a medium he fondly remembers from his youth. Driven by requests from his fans and a personal sense of nostalgia, Fernández believes the enduring appeal of vinyl, which offered a richer experience with liner notes and detailed recording information, warrants its continued existence.

It allowed us to have a bit more information regarding the recording, the content, I don't know, perhaps it's nostalgia because I started with that format and I think it's something that should not end 100%.

During the press conference for his upcoming "Ave Fénix Tour," Fernández shared his thoughts on the resurgence of retro formats. While acknowledging that some artists have released limited vinyl editions, he is actively considering a similar move for his audience. "We have considered doing it at one point for the public that asks when there will be something physical," he stated.

The tour, set to cover Mexico and the United States, will feature both his well-known hits and new material, including his recently released song "De otro planeta." Fernández also reflected on his long career, expressing surprise at its longevity and the continued connection he maintains with younger audiences who discover his music through films like "La niña de la mochila azul."

Beyond his music, Fernández expressed a desire to return to acting, a field where he gained popularity through films such as "Vacaciones del terror" and "Coqueta." Although he previously focused on music, he is now open to new television or series projects, awaiting the right opportunity. He recalled a past offer to return to telenovelas or series, which he declined at the time to prioritize music, but now finds himself eager to explore acting roles again.
