Pelindo Appoints Ubaidillah Amin and Hambra Samal as Commissioners

State-owned port operator PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) has appointed Ubaidillah Amin and Hambra Samal to its Board of Commissioners. These appointments, effective July 27, 2026, are intended to bolster the company's oversight and governance structure.

The decision was formalized through a Shareholders' General Meeting Decree and a subsequent company decree, with the changes officially communicated to the Financial Services Authority (OJK). This move signifies Pelindo's commitment to strengthening its corporate governance and supervisory capabilities.

Ubaidillah Amin, often referred to as Gus Ubaid, is a familiar figure within Pelindo, having previously served as a Commissioner for PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS) from 2019 to 2021 and PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (SPTP) from 2021 to 2023. His experience extends beyond the port sector, holding significant roles in government, including Special Staff to the Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa. He has also served on special teams for Coordinating Ministers for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, and Maritime Affairs, as well as Special Staff to the Minister of Religious Affairs and Technical Staff to the Minister of Health.

Academically, Gus Ubaid holds a Master's degree in Law and Development from Airlangga University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in the same field. His prior education includes studies at Al Azhar University. Hambra Samal, the other appointee, currently serves as a Deputy at the State-Owned Enterprises Management Body (BP BUMN). He possesses prior experience within the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises and has held directorial positions at Pelindo.

Hambra is a law graduate from Pattimura University and holds a Master's degree in Humanities from Gadjah Mada University. Pelindo's Group Head of Corporate Secretariat, Ali Sodikin, confirmed that the tenure for both new commissioners begins on July 27, 2026.
