Pellegrini's Betis suffers heavy defeat to Levante, ending their winning streak

Real Betis, under the management of Manuel Pellegrini, experienced a harsh 5-2 defeat against Levante at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia. This loss halts their previously unbeaten streak in the third round of Spain's La Liga.

Levante secured their victory with goals from Adrián De la Fuentes in the 24th minute, Enzo Bardeli in first-half stoppage time, Roger Brugué who scored twice in the 56th and 70th minutes, and Jon Ander Olasagasti in the 90+5th minute. Real Betis managed to score through Marc Bartra in the 24th minute and Rodrigo Riquelme in the 45+4th minute, but it wasn't enough to overcome Levante's offensive performance.

Following this result, Real Betis now sits temporarily in fifth place in the league table with six points. Levante, on the other hand, has climbed to tenth place, accumulating four points. The defeat marks a significant setback for Pellegrini's side after a promising start to the season.

Real Betis is scheduled to play their next match at home against Real Madrid on Friday, September 4. Meanwhile, Levante will travel to face Málaga CF on Sunday, September 6.
