Penghu County Honors Model Civil Servants, Deputy Magistrate Presents Awards

Penghu County celebrated its exemplary public servants and long-term care providers during a county affairs meeting, with Deputy Magistrate Lin Chieh-hsing presenting awards. Honorees included outstanding civil servants from the Fire Department, Public Works Department, and the Huxi Township Public Works Department's cleaning team.

The meeting also recognized individuals and units for their achievements in long-term care, procurement auditing, public service, and health promotion. Awards were given for dedicated service, senior excellence, and exemplary performance in home care supervision. The Health Bureau and its sub-units in Qimei and Xiyu townships received accolades for their contributions to health services and participation in the Ministry of Health and Welfare's "Golden Care Award" competition.

Deputy Magistrate Lin highlighted Penghu County's selection as one of five counties nationwide to be included in the Executive Yuan's "National Artificial Intelligence Strategy Committee." He emphasized that the central government's goal in promoting AI in public sectors is to alleviate the burden on grassroots staff by automating routine tasks. This initiative aims to allow public servants to focus on more valuable work, thereby enhancing administrative efficiency and policy quality.

Lin also noted the county's recognition for excellence in procurement auditing and public service. The Health Bureau ranked first in public service performance evaluation, followed by the Police Bureau and the Fire Department. These awards underscore the county's commitment to effective governance and citizen-focused services.
