Perak Sultan visits state pavilion at MAHA 2026

Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah spent more than two hours touring the Perak Pavilion at MAHA 2026, taking in displays that showcase the state’s ambitions in agri-food, technology and agro-tourism.

The sultan arrived at 10.45 a.m. with Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim and their son, Raja Kechil Besar Perak Raja Datuk Seri Azlan Muzaffar Shah. They were welcomed by Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad and representatives of the state government.

Sultan Nazrin visited exhibits covering agriculture, fisheries, agri-food and technology, including displays on rice cultivation and livestock farming. He and Tuanku Zara also spent time greeting visitors and speaking with members of the public, adding to the lively atmosphere at the pavilion.

This year’s pavilion combines agri-food, technology, innovation, industry, agro-tourism, culture and heritage. Its design draws inspiration from Istana Kenangan in Kuala Kangsar, presenting the building as a symbol of Perak’s heritage and identity.

The state’s participation brings together government departments, agencies and private companies to promote agriculture and Perak’s economic potential. A total of 83,530 people had visited the pavilion by the previous day, with attendance expected to rise. The presentation reflects the state government’s aim to strengthen agri-food, technology and the Blue Economy as economic drivers toward 2030.
