Perlis PAS to back Bersatu until central PN decision, says state chairman

The Perlis chapter of the Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) has affirmed its commitment to supporting the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (Bersatu) within the state. This support will continue until the central leadership of the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition makes a definitive decision regarding the parties' political relationship.

Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, who chairs the PN state chapter, emphasized that the current state government's operations are proceeding as normal. He assured that the political developments at the federal level have not disrupted the administration in Perlis. This statement aims to project stability amidst the shifting political landscape.

The declaration follows the recent severance of political ties between PAS and Bersatu at a national level.
