Pertamina maintains oil and gas production above 1 million BOEPD in 2025

PT Pertamina (Persero) has demonstrated robust operational performance, consistently producing over 1 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD) throughout 2025. This sustained output is crucial for meeting national energy demands amidst global industry challenges.

The upstream sector remains a primary business pillar, with production levels above 1 million BOEPD highlighting Pertamina's capability to ensure energy supply continuity. In refining, the company achieved a valuable product yield of 83.7%, an improvement from the previous year. Throughout 2025, Pertamina's refineries processed 333 million barrels of crude oil and feedstock, optimizing production of high-value products for national energy needs and enhancing operational efficiency.

In the downstream sector, Pertamina supplies approximately 70% of Indonesia's national fuel requirements, forming the backbone of energy distribution for consumers, industries, and various economic sectors. The gas business also showed positive results, with transmission volume reaching 587 BSCF, a 4% increase from the prior year, and gas trading volume at 305 million MMBTU in 2025.

Pertamina's logistics arm also recorded solid achievements, transporting 172 million kiloliters of domestic and international cargo, underscoring the vital role of its fleet in maintaining smooth energy distribution. Furthermore, the company is expanding its new and renewable energy initiatives, with electricity production reaching 8,711 GWh in 2025, a 3% increase year-on-year.

President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri stated that these operational achievements provide a strong foundation for national energy security and support the energy transition agenda. He emphasized that Pertamina is not only strengthening national energy resilience but also driving the transition to lower-carbon energy, contributing to the national economy, and maintaining healthy financial fundamentals. The company also reduced carbon emissions by 2.27 million tons of CO2e in 2025 through its decarbonization programs, aligning with its net-zero emission targets.
