Pertamina Strengthens Fuel Distribution in North Sumatra

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional North Sumatra is intensifying its efforts to normalize fuel distribution in Aceh by bolstering operations at its oil and gas terminals. The company is focusing on optimizing the Integrated Terminal (IT) Lhokseumawe and Fuel Terminal (FT) Krueng Raya to ensure a steady energy supply for the region's residents.

Key strategic measures include extending the fuel dispatch hours from an average of eight to 14 hours daily, including Sundays. Pertamina is also increasing the frequency of fuel truck dispatches by approximately 65 percent to expedite delivery to gas stations and other distribution points throughout Aceh. These adjustments are designed to make the distribution process more effective and improve the overall supply situation.

We continue to optimize terminal operations as the backbone of fuel distribution in Aceh. Various acceleration measures are being taken to make the distribution process more effective so that the energy needs of the community can be met properly and the distribution conditions in the field continue to show improvement.

Furthermore, Pertamina is adapting its distribution patterns to ensure faster delivery of fuel supplies to areas in need. Since July 12, IT Lhokseumawe has been supplying fuel to Langsa and East Aceh, averaging 48,000 liters per day. For Bireuen and Pidie, the company is enhancing collaboration between IT Lhokseumawe and FT Krueng Raya to achieve quicker, more equitable, and reliable fuel distribution.

Fahrougi Andriani Sumampouw, Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR at Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut, emphasized that synergy between terminals is crucial for maintaining smooth fuel distribution in Aceh. By optimizing each terminal's operational capacity, Pertamina can flexibly adjust distribution patterns based on on-the-ground needs. The company is confident that these initiatives will lead to significant improvements in fuel distribution normalization across Aceh.
