Pertamina Takes Firm Action Over Subsidized Biodiesel Distribution Violations in Subang

Pertamina Patra Niaga has sanctioned a fuel station in Subang after an inspection found suspected irregularities in the distribution of subsidized biodiesel.

The company’s West Java Regional Office carried out the inspection on Aug. 21, 2026. It found repeated biodiesel transactions at station 34.412.15 on Aug. 13 at 11:23 p.m., 11:26 p.m. and 11:29 p.m. The transactions allegedly used vehicle barcodes that did not match the license plates of the vehicles involved. Together, they covered 220.31 liters.

Pertamina issued the station operator a warning valid for 90 days and suspended its biodiesel supply for 30 days starting Aug. 22. Customers can obtain biodiesel from three nearby stations during the suspension: 3441207, 3441234 and 3441218.

Every indication of irregularity in the distribution process will be followed up through inspections and corrective action in accordance with applicable regulations. We are also continuing to strengthen field supervision so that subsidized fuel distribution is targeted, transparent and accountable.

Reno Fri Daryanto, the company’s area manager for communications, relations and corporate social responsibility, said Pertamina would not tolerate practices that could misdirect subsidized fuel. “Every indication of irregularity in the distribution process will be followed up through inspections and corrective action in accordance with applicable regulations,” he said.

The company said it has also continued compliance guidance for station operators. From the beginning of the year through Sept. 3, it had provided guidance to 164 stations across three provinces in its regional operating area. Pertamina said it would continue monitoring and evaluating subsidized fuel distribution and urged the public to report suspected misuse.
