PHE's 'Lensa Energi' Program Helps Detect Early Vision Problems in Children

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) and its subsidiary PHE OSES initiated the 'Lensa Energi' program, a corporate social responsibility effort focused on improving the eye health of elementary school students in the Thousand Islands. The program, themed "Healthy Eyes, Diligent Learning, Great Achievement," took place on July 22, 2026, at SDN 01 and SDN 02 Pulau Kelapa.

Through this initiative, 150 fifth and sixth-grade students received complimentary eye examinations. Those identified with vision problems were provided with optical aids. The event saw the participation of local government officials, including the Regent of the Thousand Islands Administration, Muhammad Fadjar Churniawan, and PHE management, alongside healthcare professionals from the North Thousand Islands Community Health Center.

Whisnu Bahriansyah, Director of Risk Management at PHE, highlighted that 'Lensa Energi' is part of PHE's sustainability commitment to create measurable social impact. He noted that 30 percent of children currently experience myopia and require glasses. "Through this program, we want to help children see more clearly, giving them equal opportunities to learn, develop, and achieve their dreams," Bahriansyah stated.
