Pingtung Summer Carnival features 'Naughty Prince' play and Shin-chan exhibition

Pingtung's Summer Carnival is entering its final two weeks, offering a variety of family-friendly activities. This past Saturday evening, the "Summer Theater" segment featured a performance of the classic play "Naughty Prince" by the Tou Zi Theater Company, drawing a large crowd of families.

The children were captivated by the lively plot and humorous character interactions, filling the night with laughter. The Pingtung County Government's Department of Communications and International Affairs highlighted that this year's carnival offers diverse experiences, from outdoor amusement facilities to themed exhibitions and stage performances, ensuring enjoyable summer moments for all ages.

The "Summer Theater" series specifically invites high-quality performing groups to present plays, music, and other performing arts. This initiative aims to expose children to arts and culture in a relaxed setting, providing parents with opportunities to share quality time with their children. The Tou Zi Theater Company, known for its extensive work in children's theater since 1998, presented "Naughty Prince" to explore parent-child relationships through humor and themes of love and acceptance.

Another major draw is the "Crayon Shin-chan: Time Adventure" interactive exhibition. This popular attraction, based on the well-known IP, combines interactive facilities with classic scenes, attracting over 10,000 visitors since its opening. Many attendees, including tourists from central and northern Taiwan, have praised the exhibition's design and interactive elements, noting that both children and adults can immerse themselves in the experience.

To encourage further participation, the first 100 visitors daily who complete their visit and share on social media will receive exclusive exhibition merchandise until August 30. The carnival's outdoor play equipment will operate until August 30, while the "Crayon Shin-chan" exhibition runs until October 11. Wednesdays are closed for maintenance.
