PKR to Maintain Alliance with BN, UMNO for National Stability: Anwar

Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) will continue its cooperation with Barisan Nasional (BN) and UMNO at the federal level to guarantee political stability and the prosperity of the people, according to PKR President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. He stated that any decisions regarding political cooperation should be driven by the interests of the people and the nation, not by anger or specific agendas.

Anwar, who is also the Prime Minister, explained that the formation of the current unity government was only possible through wisdom and an understanding of the need for a stable administration. Addressing his personal relationship with UMNO President Datuk Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Anwar described it as very good, expressing confidence that any issues between them can be resolved through mature negotiation. "My personal relationship with Datuk Seri Zahid is still very good, and I believe we can negotiate well, as friends, and hear each other's views directly. So far, I have not heard any negative views at the federal government level," he said.

While acknowledging differing dynamics and views at the state level, Anwar stressed the importance of prioritizing wisdom before taking any action, warning that hasty decisions could undermine the unity and stability built. We must maintain this unity wisely and with great wisdom," he urged.
