PKS President AMY to Visit South Sumatra for National Safari

PKS Party President Almuzzammil Yusuf, also known as AMY, is set to visit South Sumatra from August 9-10, 2026. This trip marks the 30th province visited by the PKS president in the past year, highlighting the party's commitment to community engagement and service.

According to PKS Youth Spokesperson Rangga Kusumo, the visit transcends internal party matters. It holds strategic significance as South Sumatra is chosen for its rich history, exemplified by the Sriwijaya Kingdom, and its strong religious and cultural values. AMY aims to convey that politics should remain close to the people, integrating national dialogue, religious activities, sports, and cultural events into his agenda.

The itinerary includes a national dialogue with community and religious leaders, academics, and local officials. AMY plans to discuss the legacy of Sriwijaya, the region's heroic spirit, and the importance of youth character development ahead of Indonesia's 81st Independence Day. He will also participate in congregational prayers at the Al-Islam Muhammad Cheng Hoo Sriwijaya Palembang Mosque, reinforcing themes of brotherhood, harmony, and moderation.

Rangga, who also serves as Secretary of the PKS Presidential Staff Office, emphasized that AMY's visit is an effort by PKS to remain present among the people, listen to their aspirations, strengthen relationships with various figures, and bolster collaborative efforts in nation-building from the grassroots level.
