Platform driver robbed of motorcycle and phone in Limpio

A platform driver was the victim of a violent aggravated robbery in Limpio, Paraguay, as he was returning home late Wednesday night. Two criminals on a motorcycle intercepted him, intentionally causing him to fall before stealing his motorcycle and cell phone at gunpoint.

The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Don Bosco Avenue in the Villa Don Bosco neighborhood. Security camera footage captured the sequence of events, showing the two assailants deliberately colliding with the victim's motorcycle. The victim, identified as Ángel Gabriel Agüero Galeano, 23, lost his balance and fell to the pavement. The passenger then dismounted, displayed a firearm, and the victim, offering no resistance, handed over his motorcycle.

Images also show a second motorcycle with two occupants arriving, apparently to support the robbery and facilitate the getaway. In addition to the motorcycle, a Kenton Forza 150, model 2025, the thieves took a Xiaomi Redmi 14C cell phone with an active SIM card. The victim reported that his stolen motorcycle was equipped with a satellite tracking system.

Following the report to the 911 system, police responded immediately to the location indicated by the tracker. However, by the time they arrived, the motorcycle was no longer there. Police Commissioner José Acosta, head of the 9th Central Police Station, suggested that this type of robbery had decreased recently but noted that authorities are investigating the hypothesis that an individual known for aggravated motorcycle theft may have recently been released from custody under alternative measures. "We are conducting intelligence operations," Acosta stated, indicating this line of inquiry is part of the ongoing investigation by the National Police.
