PLN Supports UPN Veteran Yogyakarta's Power Needs, Strengthening Education Services

PT PLN (Persero) Unit Induk Distribusi (UID) Yogyakarta has boosted the electricity supply for UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, increasing its capacity from 2 MVA to 3,465 kVA. This enhancement is a direct response to the university's growing needs, driven by the expansion of its facilities and the increasing integration of technology in academic pursuits.

Setia Budi Tangkarina, Special Staff to the Rector for Defense, Finance, and General Affairs at UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, explained that the current power supply was nearing its limit due to increased demand across campus facilities. The additional capacity is crucial for supporting lectures, building operations, and the university's development into a smart campus that heavily relies on electrical technology.

Tangkarina expressed hope for continued support from PLN, emphasizing the importance of reliable electricity for seamless academic and operational activities. Manager of PLN UP3 Yogyakarta, Agung Pratomo, affirmed PLN's commitment to accessible and responsive services, highlighting the upgrade as part of their dedication to supporting the education sector with dependable power.

General Manager of PLN UID Yogyakarta, Deri Prasetio Utomo, identified the education sector as strategic, requiring robust electrical infrastructure to foster human resource development. PLN aims to provide reliable power and efficient services, exemplified by this capacity increase and the promotion of the PLN Mobile application for streamlined customer access to various electrical services.
