PM Undergoing Two-Day Medical Check-up

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is currently undergoing a two-day medical examination and scheduled procedures, according to his Senior Press Secretary, Tunku Nashrul Abaidah.

Anwar is expected to remain under the observation of the medical team for the duration of these two days. Nashrul Abaidah conveyed this information in a statement released today.

"He is expected to be under observation for two days," the statement read. "Let us pray that all the Prime Minister's examination and procedure affairs are made easy and that he is granted lasting health so that he can return to his duties as soon as possible, God willing."

Yesterday, the Prime Minister and his wife, Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, visited Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who is receiving treatment at the National Heart Institute (IJN). During their visit, they also saw former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who is also being treated at IJN and requires further monitoring.
